Learn How to Use Immigration Programs to Meet your Hiring Needs! techNL and the Office of Immigration and Multiculturalism (OIM) are hosting an information session for tech sector companies in Newfoundland and Labrador. If you are a tech sector employer, you can attend for free and learn about Canada’s economic immigration programs and resources to help you attract, hire, and retain global tech talent. Join OIM Officer, Kamrul Islam, for the 60-minute virtual information session on March 15, 10-11am NST. Atlantic Immigration Program: Following the success of the Atlantic Immigration Pilot, the government announced the creation of a permanent program in 2022. This program was designed to help employers in Atlantic Canada hire qualified foreign workers to support growth in Atlantic Canada and international graduates who want to stay in the region after graduation. Learn about this new permanent program, which will continue to be a flagship regional economic immigration program in the Atlantic Provinces. Resources for employers: Learn about the wide variety of resources and how they can support you in hiring and retaining foreign talent. Recruiting Global Talent: Recruitment for global talent can seem overwhelming, however this session will provide clarity on how you can begin your search.

Join us for our March Indigenous Coffee Break. Featuring special guest, IndigiMall! WEKH Indigenous Coffee Break Series - 2022, provides monthly, 1-hour long sessions that connect aspiring and established Indigenous women entrepreneurs (IWEs) directly with, both Indigenous and non-Indigenous, ecosystem support organizations. These sessions aim to bring awareness to the resources and opportunities available to IWEs in various industries, regions, and sectors across the traditional lands and territories that make up what is known as Canada. These sessions are designed to create a safe space for IWEs to ask questions and seek the support they need during any stage of their entrepreneurial journey. Please note that each session is unique, and topics may be explored either in a broad or specific format. Please refer below for more detailed information regarding this particular session.
