On September 17th APEC released a new report Digital Technology Firms:Their Importance and Role in Atlantic Canada’s Economy  The report discusses how digital technology firms in Atlantic Canada are making a significant and growing contribution to the regional economy, but several factors are impeding its full potential.

On Wednesday October 2 at 10 am (AST), the report’s author, Patrick Brannon, APEC’s Director of Major Projects, will host a one-hour webinar highlighting the main findings.  Patrick will be joined by Cathy Simpson, CEO of TechImpact who commissioned the report.

Following the 40 minute presentation there will be a 15 minute Q&A session (via chat).

The webinar will answer key questions about digital firms in Atlantic Canada including:

  • How big is the digital industry and why is it so important?
  • Is there a labour shortage in the digital industry?
  • Is there enough financing support for firms to establish and grow?
  • What are the emerging digital specialties where Atlantic firms are creating innovative products?
