An entrepreneur is only as strong as the skills and tools they gain. Learn how to start a business idea strong from day one with the Lean Business Model Canvas. It’s a one-page business plan that keeps you on track and your business objectives clear.
Peter Gifford of Genesis, our keynote speaker for this workshop, will focus on the Lean Business Model Canvas and the Traction Road Map. The workshop is designed to be hands-on, you will walk away with the tool necessary to test any business idea.
Stayin’ Lean this semester will be in partnership with the Ocean Startup project. The Ocean Startup Project is a pan-Atlantic collaboration to create and grow high-quality ocean technology companies and promote the opportunities that exist right here in Atlantic Canada.
This event will be held virtually on Hopin, an all-in-one live events platform that allows attendees to interact and connect virtually with the experience and benefits of attending a physical event. Check out this video for a demo of the attendee experience.

We are excited to offer virtual childcare service for our workshops to support entrepreneurial parents. Each session will be run by a qualified and experienced kindergarten teacher or a very experienced child caregiver. Each session will be themed (crafts, storytelling, legos, drawing, etc..) and will be available in a group of up to 6 children aged between 4 to 8. Space is limited and priority will be given to Memorial University students first. You will be asked to indicate if you wish to use this service when you reserve your ticket.
Interested in childcare but your child is younger than four? Let us know at mce@mun.ca. We are piloting the service with ages 4-8 this semester but we will take in to consideration suggestions and feedback for the future!
