Join the adventure! Crawl with them as they see the coolest startups across the city while meeting new friends and building back our community connections. Each startup has a special surprise for visitors which we’ll keep under wraps until the big day. This Startup Crawl is all about getting back together in a fun and social way, while experiencing what startups look like in Halifax.

How does it work?

A Startup Crawl is exactly what it sounds like. It brings our startup ecosystem together for a journey to different businesses over the night, full of networking opportunities, catchup sessions, interactive experiences, with lots of fun surprises along the way. They welcome all who are curious about the startup ecosystem and are open to exciting experiences.

Doors open at Deloitte (1741 Lower Water St.) at 5:30PM for our crawlers to grab their maps, schedules, t-shirts, and important information before the crawl starts. The crawl begins at 6:00PM with participants starting to fan out across the city. After stopping at threesixfive, Podstarter, and Milk Moovement, everyone will meet up again at Rafflebox to round out their time together.

Crawlers are divided up into six groups, so you’ll always be meeting new people at each startup. If you’re crawling with someone else or a group of friends, make sure to select tickets from the same group number to be together. Schedules between groups are different, but you will have a chance to meet people from other groups at each startup stop. Look at their participating startups below.

What about transportation?

Transportation between startup stops is provided by motor coach, although they encourage you to walk during the short distances if you’re able and the weather cooporates to fully immerse yourself in the experience. Paid parking is available in the Queen’s Marque Parkade. Street parking is also available, along with paid lots north and south of Queen’s Marque.

Who can join?

The Startup Crawl is open to everyone who considers them part of the startup community. From founders and their team members to students and support organizations, all are welcome to join in on the crawl, but those who wish to participate must register.
