Why the %$#& do I need to worry about marketing?
If you aren’t thinking about or planning to add marketing to your overarching strategy, your business will fail. If you’re executing marketing tactics without a strategy, your business will stall and stagnate. If you aren’t tracking and reacting to your marketing efforts, you’re wasting money. This workshop will be a no-nonsense discussion around marketing, and offer attendees a guideline to develop an effective, impactful, and results driven marketing strategy that can evolve with the growth of any business. We will dive into how important marketing is to the success of all areas of your organization; how it is ingrained in both acquisition and retention approaches; and how to recognize and react to both success and/or failure. We will explore 3 key components of any successful marketing strategy – brand, customer and category. Each extremely important, and something every organization needs to continually focus on. We will also offer insight, advice and a framework to help build, expand or rework anyone’s marketing strategy. Companies or community groups – be it startups, early stage to well-established – will benefit from this fresh, frank and unique perspective.
