We’re looking for breakthrough ideas and concepts that will help take Atlantic Lottery’s PlayWise brand to the next level. Volta and Atlantic Lottery are teaming up once again to host a hackathon. We’re in search of ideas that resonate with a broad range of players and emphasizes that gambling should always be fun and safe.

This is more than just a hackathon – over three days, selected participants will receive training and coaching on creative thinking, concept development, and will learn how to turn ideas into value propositions. The training will be delivered by Two Igloos, a Toronto- and London-based innovation and customer strategy agency whose clients include companies, such as Pearson, Levi’s, Jameson and more.

When: November 15-17, 2019 – starting @ 6pm on Friday
Where: Volta – 1505 Barrington Street, Innovation Outpost Wing, Mezzanine Level

What are the prizes?

Here’s what’s up for grabs:

  • Top prize: $1,500
  • 2st place prize: $1,000
  • 3rd place prize: $500

How do you participate?

Anyone interested in participating must register via Eventbrite. Following your registration, an Atlantic Lottery team member will reach out to you with next steps. Applications will require participants to submit a short video and/or a write up explaining why responsible gaming is important and why they want to participate in this hackathon.

What’s the food situation?

Food and drinks will be provided throughout the weekend, including pizza, pop, snacks – all the fuel you’ll need! If you have dietary restrictions or food allergies, please let us know in advance so that we can accommodate.
