The Industrial and Technological Benefits (ITB) Policy leverages defence and major Canadian Coast Guard procurement to create jobs and economic growth in Canada. The ITB Policy encourages companies to establish or grow their presence in Canada, strengthen Canadian supply chains and develop Canadian Key Industrial Capabilities. The ITB Policy is making an impact from coast to coast. Investments are supporting the manufacturing and marine sectors, helping scale up small and medium sized businesses, enhancing investments across Canada that align with regional strengths and supporting exports and innovation.
The purpose of this session is to provide information on what the ITB Policy is and how Canadian firms have been successful in accessing supply chain opportunities associated with the defence and major Canadian Coast Guard procurement. The presentation will have a particular focus on ITB Policy features which motivate investments in innovation; and which support the growth of small and medium businesses in Canada.
