Gary Cox is a Lean Six Sigma (LSS) Master Black Belt with Barrington Consulting, a Senior Associate and co-lead of Barrington OPS. Gary brings more than 18 years of Black Belt project execution experience to the team and received his Master Black Belt training in 2010 during his 35-year career at Canada Post where he held the position of National Director of Process Engineering.

Gary uses his LSS skills to develop and support strategies for implementing LSS methodologies to enhance the evolution of a company to attain a continuous improvement culture. Gary has extensive LSS experience in both the public and private sector and has worked with practitioners at all levels of client organizations, from, elected officials, senior executives to middle managers to front line staff. Gary was the lead facilitator working with the Province of Nova Scotia’s Corporate Lean & Continuous Improvement Office to deliver LSS training.

He has also worked with the Business Process Optimization team of Halifax Regional Municipality (HRM) developing and delivering their Performance Excellence program training over 600 business leaders and employees in Performance Excellence and as Lean Six Sigma Yellow Belts. He recently has led the LSS training at the Green Belt and Black Belt levels for ACOA and has been advisor to their continuous improvement deployment team.

Gary has been engaged with Continuous Improvement at Eden Valley Poultry since 2019, he is leading
the training and coaching for front line supervisors and managers with visual management huddle
boards and real-time in-process performance and quality indicators throughout the plant operations. He
also supports a Continuous Improvement leader from Nova Scotia Power, Saint Mary’s University, and
several manufactures in training and deploying their continuous improvements. Gary has supported or
led projects saving over $25 million in savings.
