What is the Opportunity?

Senior Technical Manager, IAM Agentic AI Compliance key role in supporting IAM globally and driving adherence to our AI identity controls, bridging the emerging enterprise AI technologies with identity governance, access management, processes and metrics, demonstrating a balance between risk and innovation. Building partnerships across IAM, Global Security and AI technology owners will be critical to our success to help maintain our AI governance model.

IAM is pivotal in the evolution of Agentic AI and will be a foundation for RBC’s ability to scale secure, intelligent identity governance in an increasingly complex threat landscape. With significant regulatory pressure to ensure a secure financial system, evolving cyber threats coupled with the need to find operational efficiencies, identity management through strong governance is key to enabling cutting-edge AI innovation without compromising enterprise security fundamentals.

This role will help to drive the embedding of IAM AI identity controls into the fabric of RBC’s AI and agentic landscape and enable the ability to report on compliance with identity controls and IT risk policies and standards, demonstrating our current EIAM risk posture through data driven analysis and actionable metrics.

What will you do?

AI Identity Control Development and Implementation

  • Actively engaged in the support of IAM related metrics to report on AI ID control performance, collaborating across IAM internal teams and RBC cross functional AI related teams linked with IAM control compliance
  • Supporting the maintenance of mappings of the enterprise-wide AI identity related controls to process and procedures, aligning to RBC Standards and regulatory requirements
  • Maintain the IAM AI ID control suite and associate procedures and assist in control testing efforts along with EIAM key controls alignment.

AI Identity Metrics and Reporting

  • Identifies and supports a set of reporting requirements and control points to demonstrate to IAM and Global Security management the AI identity risk posture
  • Leverage reporting and metrics to evolve the AI identity compliance landscape and develop actionable next steps to improve on control performance
  • Identify and assist in the cataloguing of potential gaps in compliance with IAM and AI ID services, including thematic analysis on non-compliant components in the ecosystem

AI Identity Consultation and Governance Support

  • Provides input and consultancy services for all IAM AI identity control related matters, including but not limited to audit, regulatory and external team related inquiries
  • Build awareness of IAM control compliance and risk remediation needs across RBC, including both enterprise and AI identity controls
  • Facilitate in the evidence gathering for all relevant IAM related Audit, Regulatory and third-party requests for evidence
  • Operates as a subject matter expert on the IAM AI identity controls and procedure, supporting cross functional teams within IAM, Global Security and T&O.

What do you need to succeed?
Must-have

  • 5+ years’ experience in IT architecture and system implementation
  • 3+ years of working knowledge in AI platform implementations and AI technology stack
  • IAM knowledge and/or motivation to develop IAM expertise.
  • 3+ years of experience in IT Risk, Control Assurance and Compliance, preferably within a global financial services organization.
  • Track record delivering results across multiple workstreams within timebound delivery expectations.
  • Ability to translate complex technical concepts into simple to understand terms.
  • Strong collaboration skills to influence and drive change without the need for oversight.
  • Self-driven, goal oriented, and able to adapt to changes quickly
  • Commitment to continuous learning and rapidly acquiring new and emerging technical domain knowledge.

Nice-to-have

  • Working knowledge and direct engagement with RBC’s AI technologies and strategies
  • AI security and/or zero-trust architecture experience
  • AI security model development
  • Industry security risk certifications (CRISC, CISSP, etc.)
