Venor is proud to partner with Parts for Trucks in their search for a Systems & Network Administrator to join their growing IT Support team. Parts for Trucks has been an industry leader providing parts and services to the heavy-duty trucking industry for over 100 years. Operating 32 sales/warehouse outlets and 15 service facilities from coast to coast, Parts for Trucks offers a complete range of products and services for all makes of trucks and trailers.

What you’ll be doing:

Reporting to the Manager IT, the Systems & Network Administrator will play an important role in ensuring networks and communications infrastructure are highly available and stable. You will participate in the planning and design of networks, cloud infrastructure, security systems and policies. You will be responsible for deploying and supporting our network and communications infrastructure. You will collaborate with other IT support to ensure timely resolution of support issues for our network of 30+ locations across Canada. You will also be responsible for:

  • Managing Azure cloud infrastructure
  • Active Directory, Entra ID, Intune, & M365 management
  • Design, deploy and manage firewalls, switches and wireless networks
  • Overseeing monitoring and remediation of endpoint security issues
  • Backup and recovery solutions
  • Acting as a point of escalation to help our service desk staff
  • Maintaining a high level of availability for our key systems and operations
  • Performing maintenance and systems upgrades
  • Documenting infrastructure changes

What we’re looking for:

  • Minimum of 3+ years of experience working as a network/systems administrator
  • Post-secondary diploma or degree in IT, computer science or other relevant education
  • Experience supporting Azure Infrastructure
  • Experience supporting Microsoft Entra ID and Active directory
  • Experience with Microsoft Intune an asset
  • Exceptional troubleshooting skills
  • Solid understanding of IT Security and data integrity
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Legally allowed to work in Canada
