Are you ready to take the next step in fostering a culture of inclusivity and diversity within your business? Do you have the knowledge and confidence to recognize and constructively address bad behaviour, AND build inclusive policies and procedures to support a thriving team?
This is the Workshop for you!
Diversity and inclusion are critical components for driving innovation, fostering growth, and ensuring long-term success. As business leaders, it is essential to create an inclusive environment where every individual feels respected, valued, and empowered to contribute their unique perspectives.
Join Emma Stanley and revolutionize the way you lead your business to greatness. This full day workshop provides engaging and insightful tools for understanding, embracing, and implementing effective strategies for equity, diversity, inclusion and acceptance (EDIA) including:
SGF’s Beyond Barriers 4 Inclusion learning pillars, features voices from diverse backgrounds, where you’ll engage with lived experiences, participate in interactive discussions, and gain access to a wealth of resources to support you in leading your business with inclusive excellence.
Our day will begin with 2SLGBTQI+ 101 to provide an understanding of the acronym and terminology as it relates to gender identity and expression. Once we have a solid foundation, prepare for Beyond Binary Bias, providing participants with an introduction to bias through an intersectional lens, examining the impacts of unchecked bias on equity-deserving groups, and providing tools for checking biases.
From crafting tailored approaches to implementing effective EDIA policies, to identifying key community resources and leveraging existing assets in an inclusive way, our program equips you with the tools and knowledge needed to drive meaningful change.
MEET THE TRAINER:
Emma joined the award-winning team at SGF Inclusion in 2021 and is now their Chief Development Officer, providing EDIA strategy development, training and 2SLGBTQI+ outreach. She has ten years experience teaching English in different cultural environments, and as a queer trans woman from rural New Brunswick, Emma says, “living and transitioning across several countries and cultures has given me a broad experience of how different people interact with my community. I want to use that experience to help make a positive change in my home country.” Her lived experience helps position SGF’s programming to be the best, most inclusive education to serve our clients. Emma is co-host of the Trans Canada Stories podcast. In her free time she enjoys drawing, board games, and juggling.
