In this month’s UX Salon Halifax meetup, Laura will explore the topic of neurodiversity and how it relates to user experience. Participants will walk away with a comprehensive understanding of the complexity, nuance, and benefits of neurodiversity. Designing for neurodiversity is essential for many and beneficial for all!

During this month’s UX Salon Halifax meetup, you can expect:
- An engaging discussion regarding the unique needs and perspectives of neurodivergent individuals and how these can be accommodated in the UX process.
- Strategies and best practices for creating a more inclusive and accessible user experience.
- If participants feel comfortable: share their lived experiences of being neurodivergent and a UX Designer, Product or, Project Manager.
SPEAKER BIO
Laura Fair graduated from Acadia University in Wolfville, Nova Scotia, where she completed her Bachelor of Business Administration with a major in Employment Relations. Always having a keen interest in studying organizations and people, her academic pursuits later led her to Heriot-Watt University in Edinburgh, United Kingdom where she earned a Master of Science in Business and Coaching Psychology. Due to her own experiences, Laura’s Masters dissertation was dedicated to Coaching for Neurodiversity in the Workplace.
Laura is also a trained ADHD Coach and the owner of ABOUND Consulting which focuses on empowering neurodivergent individuals in the workplace and helping organizations to operate more effectively for everyone to be successful at work.

Enter at 1800 Argyle St. Proceed up the stairs or use the accessible ramp to the left of the stairs. Take elevators to the 8th floor. Go through the doors ahead. Volta is on your right. Proceed across the space. Take a left down the hallway after the projection wall. The room is ahead, to the right.
