OCTOBER 3, 2023 – HALIFAX, NS – Digital Nova Scotia (DNS), the industry association for Nova Scotia’s $2.5B technology industry, is thrilled to announce Owen Sagness has been named as the organization’s new Chief Executive Officer, effective October 1, 2023.
With an extensive background in executive leadership and a history of success in building and managing prominent technology and online businesses, Sagness brings a wealth of experience to the organization. Over the course of his 20+ year career, Sagness has held key roles with Fortune 50 companies, such as Hewlett-Packard and Microsoft, as well as smaller venture-backed technology firms.
“With Owen’s extensive leadership experience and his notable contributions to the technology industry, we have full confidence that he is the right leader to steer our organization toward a prosperous digital future,” said Jenn Priske, Chair of DNS’ Board. “His wealth of industry knowledge promises to open new avenues for growth and success at DNS, and we’re excited for what lies ahead.”

He is a member of the Institute of Corporate Directors and serves on boards and advisory committees of several organizations, providing valuable guidance to CEOs and founders.
