TDAP and TDAP – Communities – Digital Nova Scotia

We have partnered with Tourism Nova Scotia to connect tourism businesses and community organizations across the province with digital marketing experts who help address their digital adoption needs and make the most of their digital footprint. Since 2020, Digital Nova Scotia has partnered with Tourism Nova Scotia to help more than 200 tourism businesses improve their digital marketing and online services through the Tourism Digital Assistance Program. We are now expanding this successful model to support communities.

For Tourism Businesses

This program connects tourism businesses with digital service providers that can help them develop or enhance effective digital marketing tools. It’s an exciting project that gives our tourism businesses the opportunity to collaborate with the digital community in our province. A strong online presence helps businesses reach more people, build a stronger brand and increase credibility with potential customers. Approved tourism businesses will be eligible for 100% of the cost of services from a qualified digital service provider, up to a maximum value of $5,000.

Eligibility:

My tourism business is listed on Novascotia.com.
My business is registered and in good standing with Nova Scotia Registry of Joint Stocks Companies.
My business is currently open or plans to open for the 2023 tourism season.
My business has a focus on attracting and servicing visitors by providing a visitor product, service, experience or event.
My business does not have any outstanding program requirements with DNS or the Department of Communities, Culture, Tourism and Heritage (CCTH).

For Community Tourism Organizations

This program connects community tourism organizations with digital service providers that can help them develop or enhance effective digital marketing tools. A strong online presence will help a community reach more people and build a stronger awareness with potential travellers to promote your community as a travel destination. Approved community tourism organizations will be eligible for 100% of the cost of services from a qualified digital service provider, up to a maximum value of $15,000.

Eligibility:

My organization is a Nova Scotia Municipality, Chamber of Commerce, or member-based organization with a focus on tourism and/or Regional Destination Marketing Organization focused on a specific community/ communities.
My community tourism organization represents a geographic location, cluster of organizations and/or cluster of products with a focus on tourism.
My organization has been in operation for at least one year to the date of application to the program.
My organization does not have any outstanding program requirements with DNS or the Department of Communities, Culture, Tourism and Heritage (CCTH).
