Welcome to Digital Nova Scotia, Aminah! – Digital Nova Scotia – Leading Digital Industry

June 15, 2021

The Digital Nova Scotia team is growing, we’ve added a new member to our team!

With a Bachelor of Commerce in Hospitality and Tourism Management from Ryerson University, Aminah Hausermann has extensive experience working in tourism, and recently took on freelance blog writing and web copy. She is eager to combine her passions to help facilitate the digital expansion of tourism in Nova Scotia. Being from Dominica, a small island in the Caribbean, she has always made sustainable tourism her mandate, and she looks forward to bringing a fresh perspective to the team.

We asked Aminah some quick questions to help introduce her to the DNS community, here are her responses;

The tech sector in Nova Scotia is thriving, what are you most looking forward to about working in this industry?

I am most looking forward to being a part of the transition into the tech age in Nova Scotia, particularly for small businesses in the tourism and entertainment industry.

So, you’ve finished one week with us – how was it?

So far everyone has been hospitable. It is a different spin on things to onboard virtually, but this is part of the digital transition and age of technology!

What’s something you’re really interested in that might surprise us?

I am really intrigued by the multiverse theory and quantum mechanics. I could go down a rabbit hole on YouTube, watching videos about how vast and diverse the universe is.

If you were given a plane ticket to anywhere in the world, where would you want it to be?

I would go to Tokyo for the sushi and the cherry blossoms.
