The Digital Nova Scotia team is growing, we’ve added a new member to our team!
Meet Maggie, our new Digital Engagement Project Coordinator. With a Bachelor of Public Relations from Mount Saint Vincent University, Maggie has a background in marketing & communications. Having worked in the non-profit and private sector for the last few years, Maggie has a wealth of experience in managing projects, creating brand awareness, leveraging SEO, and writing copy for the web and social media. Her marketing & communications and project management experience allows her to bring a new creative perspective to any task she works on.
Born in Vancouver but raised in the Halifax area, Maggie is excited to see the digital sector grow and impact the people who work and live here. When not working, Maggie enjoys spending time with her friends and family, exploring trails with her bike, and cooking.
We asked Maggie some quick questions to help introduce her to the DNS community, here are her responses;
The tech sector in Nova Scotia is thriving, what are you most looking forward to about working in this industry?
I am looking forward to working and learning about all the exciting Digital Nova Scotia members. Our tech industry is constantly growing, and it excites me to see what technology companies are doing across Nova Scotia.
So, you’ve finished one week with us – how was it?
My first week was fantastic! Everybody at Digital Nova Scotia has been very welcoming and friendly. And I have already been able to dig into some of the exciting projects Digital Nova Scotia is working on!
What’s something you’re really interested in that might surprise us?
I am really into cycling. Last spring, I bought myself a hybrid bike to use on the roads and trails. I enjoy going cycling with my family and friends on various trails across Nova Scotia. I am also big in spin classes, which I typically do weekly either at my local studio or on my stationary bike.
If you were given a plane ticket to anywhere in the world, where would you want it to be?
Italy. I have always wanted to go to Italy for its history, shopping, and of course the food. I love Italian food, especially pasta.
