Skills For Hire Atlantic is a digital skills and career-building training program designed to help fill the need for qualified entry-level talent in the tech sector across Atlantic Canada. The program has been developed through a partnership between Digital Nova Scotia and is funded by the Government of Canada’s Adult Learning, Literacy and Essential Skills Program.
Designed for individuals who are unemployed, underemployed, or looking to enhance their career prospects, the program focuses on building foundational knowledge in key digital areas: data analytics and cybersecurity.
As the digital economy continues to reshape the workforce, Skills for Hire Atlantic equips participants with the tools and confidence to explore new career paths, complement non-technical skill sets, and bridge the digital divide, rather than promising direct employment outcomes.
Over the course of over three years, Skills For Hire Atlantic will train 1,800 individuals on in-demand, entry-level positions to become active members of the Atlantic tech ecosystem, working to fill the existing gaps in local talent.
