In recent years, we’ve faced continued uncertainty and disruption—from the global pandemic to the impending impact of US tariffs. With so much information circulating from various sources, we’re not here to rehash it all, but we do want to point you to some valuable resources that can offer further insights during these times.
That said, the most important piece of advice I want to share with you is this: focus on what you can control. You have the power to choose who you work with, the vendors and partners you align with, and where you invest your time and money. You can influence your own productivity, and right now is a perfect time to channel that energy into driving efficiencies and fostering innovation—starting at home.
Over the past few months, I’ve had the privilege of collaborating with government partners and industry leaders to explore new opportunities for local procurement here in Nova Scotia. This is a moment to bolster our technology, infrastructure, and the growth of our startups—all while modernizing Canadian systems with Canadian solutions.
For over 35 years, Digital Nova Scotia has been at the heart of building community, fostering partnerships, and creating economic opportunities for local businesses. While it’s hard to predict exactly how the future will unfold for our sector, you have an opportunity to be productive, be proactive, and invest in the strength of our community.
Our membership is comprised of 93% Canadian companies, if you’re looking to work with local, reach out to us and let us help connect you. We’ll continue to monitor the situation and share new information as it’s provided.
