Prior to joining Springboard Atlantic\, Shelley was at Invest Nova Scotia (formerly Innovacorp) for 15 years. Her most recent position was as manager\, Start-Up Yard at COVE. Start-Up Yard is the business incubator located at the Centre for Ocean Ventures and Entrepreneurship. Previously\, Shelley was manager of programs and business acceleration at Innovacorp. She worked one-on-one with the organization’s early stage technology client companies and led many acceleration initiatives. \nShelley holds a bachelor of commerce and a MBA from Saint Mary’s University and she is also a certified project management professional.

They believe that game development is for everyone! Any age\, any background\, anyone! Join Nova Scotia’s first Game Jam Next and learn new skills\, meet new people\, and most importantly\, create your own game. The event will take place on April 1st at Ignite in Yarmouth. \nYou can design a board game or a take a crack at designing a computer game. They will provide materials to help you make board games; if you’re designing a computer game bring your own laptop. \nThere will be a Nintendo Switch up for grabs\, and Y-Con has provided a free pass to Y-Con in June to the favourite game. \nLunch will be provided!

SUMMARY:The Bookkeeping Bootcamp
DESCRIPTION:The Bookkeeping Bootcamp will take place on Tuesday afternoons between September 20 to November 22\, 2022. Each class is in person. Classes are 4 hours per week (1 – 5pm). The course is 10 weeks long. Classes are held at Ignite Labs in Yarmouth\, Nova Scotia. \nParticipants are expected to attend a minimum of 80% of all sessions. Attendance is limited to 12 participants. Participants must either own a business or be in a management position. \nThe Bookkeeping Bootcamp is a FREE professional development course. The course is supported by Nova Scotia Workplace Education\, Yarmouth CBDC and Ignite Labs. The instructor is Julie Walters\, owner of Pathfinder Bookkeeping & Tax.
