We invite students to embark on a problem-solving mission that marries technology and conservation. \nOur challenge is simple yet profound: submit your most ingenious ideas\, harnessing the power of technology to propel us towards a cleaner and healthier future for the world’s oceans. \nReady to dive into innovation and make waves of positive change? Start or join a team today and help shape the future of our oceans. We have $16\,000 in cash prizes up for grabs! \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nChallenge CategoriesChoose one or more of the below categories/sub-categories to focus your project on: \n\nConservation\n\nControlling Invasive Species\n\n\nSustainability\n\nWaste Reduction\n\n\nCombatting Climate Change\nClean Energy\n\nChallenge Steps\n\nSTEP 1: IDEATION & DEVELOPMENT\nSeptember 19 – October 15\, 2023 \nCreate or join a team consisting of 2-4 post-secondary students. The deliverable for this stage is a 10-20 slide PDF presentation outlining the project and its potential impact. All submissions must be in English and uploaded to the platform by 11:59PM (EST) on October 15\, 2023.The voting stage will take place between October 15-16\, 2023. Up to five teams will be selected to participate in the finals. The finalist teams will be notified on the evening of October 16\, 2023. \nSTEP 2: THE FINAL PITCH \nOctober 22\, 2023 \nBetween October 17-22\, you will have time to finalize your solution/prototype and prepare a five-minute presentation (including a short prototype demonstration). The teams of finalists will have the opportunity to pitch their solutions to the jury at a live event at Dalhousie University in Halifax\, NS on October 22\, 2023. The teams will have the chance to win up to $8\,000 cash!
