For over five years, Stephen has been the Director of Client Solutions for Mercer Canada in Ottawa and the Atlantic Region, based out of Halifax. He has worked with clients across a variety of sectors helping organizations develop and maximize strategies for attracting and retaining the best people.

After beginning his career in Human Resource Management with a national retailer, Stephen specialized in recruitment and client management. Previously, Stephen was a partner in an executive search consulting firm in Halifax. In his role he led search projects for clients and consulted on compensation, organizational design, and shaping organizations’ employee value propositions.

Stephen holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Dalhousie University, a certificate in Human Resource Management from Saint Mary’s University, and is a Chartered Professional in Human Resources (CPHR). He is a past chair of the CPHR Nova Scotia board and a past board member of CPHR Canada. He is a past board member for the Metro Community Housing Association, the Nocturne: Art at Night Festival and he is currently President of Healthy Minds Cooperative and a volunteer with the Immigration Services Association of Nova Scotia.
