Mike MacPhail is a lead with MNP’s Technology Solutions group in Atlantic Canada. Based in Halifax, Mike is an unabashed advocate and cheerleader for the potential of our region. Mike has spent his career based here but has had the privilege to travel and work in far-flung destinations around the world with start-ups, big enterprises, and everything in between with amazingly talented people. Lesson learned? We can do it better than anyone, right here!

Mike realized some simple, yet powerful, truths early on: people want to do good work, yearn to make a difference, are innately curious, and in the right environment with the right team, will do amazing things. Simple concept, extremely difficult to actualize, particularly in the face of bureaucracy, corporate structure, learned behaviour, and a host of obstacles. In one form or another, this has been Mike’s career focus as he strives to create the optimal conditions to affect real change and drive disruptive innovation and growth.

Mike is a technologist, entrepreneur, and designer at heart. His greatest joy is creating. New teams, businesses, markets, products, partnerships … and on the personal side has a love for old motorbikes, home reno, and self-improvement. All are forever a work in progress, but progress always.
