Skills for Hire Atlantic – Student Tools
Request for Proposals
Digital Nova Scotia (DNS) is looking for a technical development partner to design and build two web-based platforms focused on supporting and promoting our Skills For Hire Atlantic (SFHA) students. The first platform is a portal where current students will log in to find all of the program materials, resources and tools. The second platform is a directory of the program’s graduates to facilitate networking and promotion to potential employers.
The chosen technical development partner should have 5+ years of experience in the areas of web development (design and best practice principles), database development and integration as well as a solid understanding of UX Design theory and implementation.
Skills for Hire Atlantic is a career-building program offered in Atlantic Canada. This program is designed to up-skill and re-skill program participants so that they can seek out meaningful job opportunities and contribute to an innovative technology industry.
Through Skills for Hire Atlantic, Digital Nova Scotia will train 1,500 graduates over the next three years. Labour market attraction and connection is a critical part of the program and what we are looking for as success. The purpose of the Student Tools are to facilitate activities surrounding labour market attachments.
