Established in 2016, the Digital Diversity Awards highlight inspiring and influential leaders working in Nova Scotia’s tech sector. Together we are recognizing that diversity is fueling innovation in our province, and the impact and influence of leaders in our community. Our growing digital economy is constantly changing and our 2021 Digital Diversity Awards have expanded to continue to represent this diverse workforce. Historically designed to celebrate women in tech, we are excited to announce that we have broadened the eligibility of the Digital Diversity Awards to include members of underrepresented communities.
Underrepresented communities include; women (female-identifying), Indigenous Peoples (First Nations, Inuit, and Métis), persons with disabilities, members of visible minority/racialized groups, and members of LGBTQ2+ communities. (As defined in the Tri-Agency Equity, Diversity and Inclusion Action Plan)
Nominees in all categories may be self-nominated, nominated by industry colleagues, or nominated by their employers or organizations.
