Welcome to Digital Nova Scotia, Oshine!
The entire Digital Nova Scotia team is very excited to introduce you to welcome our newest Project Coordinator, Oshine Rathore! Currently enrolled in Eastern College's Business and Digital Marketing Specialist Program, Oshine also brings a bachelor’s in science including Botany, Zoology and Psychology from the University of Punjab in Pakistan to the Digital Nova Scotia team. Originally from Pakistan, she arrived to Canada in 2016 after working in a Pharmacy for 3 years. She spends her free time with her family and friends, biking, hiking and learning how to ice skate. She is passionate about social media and is excited to explore new technologies that can help elevate business operations and digital marketing. We asked Oshine some quick questions to help introduce her to the DNS community, here are her responses; What excites you the most about the tech sector in Nova Scotia? Nova Scotia's tech sector has grown tremendously in the last 5 years and that growth includes the creation of new software, computers, or products and services. In the up coming years, I am excited to witness the development and influence the technology sector in Nova Scotia has on a wide range of products and services for both customers and other businesses. While you work or study, what do you have playing in the background? Pop Music on YouTube or Spotify. What do you love most about your program at University? I really like meeting new people and learning new things from them, such as my friends and professors. I like everything about my program and my favorite part of the program is Email Marketing, Graphic Designing, Social Media Marketing and Website Management. What is your dream career? Where do you see yourself in five years? My dream is to make an impact on digital media and to become a Social Media Manager and Digital Influencer. What’s something you're passionate about? I am quite passionate about technology; I like trying new gadgets and devices. What three items would you take with you on a deserted island? A pan, phone and a knife.
