Have Your Say: Shaping the Future of CUSMA
The first joint review of the Canada–United States–Mexico Agreement (CUSMA) is set for 2026, and preparations are already underway. The federal government has launched consultations to gather perspectives on what’s working well and where improvements could be made.
Intergovernmental Affairs are looking to hear from Nova Scotia businesses to learn from your experiences and insights with CUSMA. Your feedback will guide Nova Scotia’s submission to the federal process and help highlight what matters most to our economy in today’s shifting global marketplace.
They’re looking for input on:
- How CUSMA has impacted your business since 2020
- The effect of recent U.S. trade policy changes (since February 2025)
- Specific chapters of the Agreement—like goods, agriculture, services, or rules of origin
- The outcomes you’d like to see from the 2026 review
You can share your input by October 17, 2025 here. Virtual stakeholder sessions will also be announced soon.
