Digital Nova Scotia is proud to support the Digital Skills for Women, co-led by community leaders Eilidh Lindsay-Sinclair and Laura Hawkins. Digital Skills for Women is a non-profit learning cohort created by women for women aimed at female-identifying professionals who do not have experience in the tech/digital/IT industry. Powered by Digital Nova Scotia and Sponsored by CloudKettle, this cohort is designed to help participants learn more about industry-related topics, the ecosystem, and career opportunities. The purpose of Digital Skills for Women is to help participants build confidence, learn industry language, and ultimately leave better positioned to explore and enter a career in digital/tech/IT.
How to Apply:
Applications are now open for the Digital Skills for Women Spring 2020 cohort! Apply now. Applications must be submitted before February 27th at noon to be considered.
Who:
Digital Skills for Women is for female-identifying professionals who do not have experience in the tech/digital/IT industry and are interested in learning more about industry-related topics, the ecosystem, and career opportunities.
What:
Digital Skills for Women is a free 12-week, instructor-led program with an estimated value of $1,500(CAD).
Material Covered:
The content for each cohort will be slightly different based on the cohort members and their application feedback. However, topics that may be covered include:

- Content marketing
- Privacy
- Blockchain
- UX/UI
- Analytics
- Cybersecurity

Cabot Shores first participated in the Tourism Digital Assistance Program (TDAP) in 2023. Funded by Tourism Nova Scotia and administered in partnership with Digital Nova Scotia, TDAP connects eligible tourism businesses with qualified digital consultants. Participants can access up to $5,000 in services to strengthen their online visibility, digital marketing and the online experience they provide to travellers.
