  • Employment grew in the latest month by 53,600 jobs.
  • Part-time jobs increased while full-time jobs declined.
  • The unemployment rate fell in the month to 6.5%, reaching
  • The goods-producing sector added jobs (+11,000), while the services-producing sector saw growth of 42,800 jobs.

Atlantic Canada

  • Employment grew at a strong pace in November, up from the prior month by 7,700 jobs.
  • The growth occurred in both full-time and part-time positions.
  • The unemployment rate fell in the month to 7.5%, influenced by the solid job gains.
  • The services-producing sector gained 3,500 jobs in the month of October, while the goods-producing sector saw a decline of 4,800 jobs.
