Systems Engineer

The ideal candidate will have minimum three (3) years experience in a pre-sales role, must demonstrate excellent customer management skills and is technically proficient in networking technologies, software development, and service delivery. Industry certifications, such as CWNA or equivalent, would be an asset. The successful candidate may be required to come to our office in Halifax, NS, therefore they must reside in NS. A valid passport is required.
A Systems Engineer Duties include:
- Assisting the Sales team in identifying, qualifying, and securing sales opportunities
- Presenting technical solutions and demos to customers and partners
- Working with our suppliers and partners on securing quotes and pricing
- Assisting the Sales team in creating proposals for sales opportunities
- Working with the Technology and Marketing teams to design and scope new or custom solutions
- Providing technical content to RFPs and tenders
- Able to travel throughout North America
Knowledge and Key Skills:
- High degree of integrity and professionalism with a strong business acumen
- Strong time management allowing for the delicate balancing of competing priorities
- Oral, visual, written communications including proposal writing, product demonstrations, requirements gathering and presentations
- Understanding of cloud services and application technologies
- Understanding of Operating systems: Windows, Linux, OS X, iOS, Android
- Technical understanding and knowledge of modern networking technologies (WiFi, switching, routers)
- Technical understanding of software development as it relates to web services and applications
