System Integration/Test Engineer

About the role

The successful candidate will be called to work at CFB Stadacona in Halifax once the necessary security clearances have been granted by the government of Canada. The candidate will be involved in the Halifax Class Frigate In-Service Support Program, supporting the total engineering life cycle from specification, design, development, integration & test, deployment, maintenance and field trouble shooting for systems and capabilities on a highly complex Naval Combat suite.

  • Develop test plans and procedures to verify system requirements in an Agile environment
  • Conduct formal test activities in the Land Based Test Site (LBTS) with the customer
  • Document results in the Lockheed Martin Test Management System
  • Document, assess, and test deficiencies using the Lockheed Martin Defect Tracking Tool

What you bring to the role

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university in Computer Science or related engineering discipline and 3-5 years experience
  • Must be willing to support schedule including evenings and weekends, as required
  • Must have an aptitude for solving challenging problems in a team environment
  • Must have a high degree of initiative and autonomy
  • Must be able to obtain NATO Secret security clearance

Additional skills desired for the role

  • Software test experience
  • Software test automation experience
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office suite
  • Familiarity with Linux
  • Familiarity with DOORS
  • Familiarity with Agile Scrum methodology
  • Experience with Military Naval domain and Operations
  • Experience with Sensors, Weapons or Ship integration
  • Experience with Combat Management System 330 (CMS 330)
  • Active NATO Secret security clearance is considered an asset
