Senior Systems Integration/Test Engineer – Software Test Automation Lead

About the role

The successful candidate contributes to our key projects as a member of our Test and Trials (T&T) Cross Product Team (CPT) as follows:

  • Lead automated functional testing of combat system software
  • Lead automated system integration testing leading to acceptance of combat system software
  • Lead automated regression testing of combat system software.

Specific duties include:

  • Plan and oversee test automation activities as the Scrum Master
  • Support the software Test Lead in developing and executing the overall test automation strategy
  • Act as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) for the test automation solution
  • Contribute to internal research and digital transformation for test automation
  • Collect and present comprehensive metrics related to test automation execution
  • Support and lead junior staff in all areas of test automation
  • Enforce coding standards and best practices
  • Develop and execute tests using the Lockheed Martin Canada Inc. (Lockheed Martin) automated test tool
  • Document, assess, and test automation deficiencies using the Lockheed Martin defect tracking tool.

What you bring to the role

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university in Computer Science or related engineering discipline and 5-years’ experience, or master’s degree in related engineering discipline and 3-years’ experience
  • Must be willing to support schedule including evenings and weekends, as required
  • Must have an aptitude for solving challenging problems in a team environment
  • Must have a high degree of initiative and autonomy
  • Must have strong understanding of Linux and Python
  • Must be able to obtain North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) Secret security clearance.

  • Software test automation experience
  • Software development experience
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office suite
  • Familiarity with Linux is essential
  • Familiarity with BASH and Python is essential
  • Familiarity with Java and C++
  • Familiarity with Dynamic Object-Oriented Requirements System (DOORS)
  • Familiarity with Subversion and/or Git
  • Familiarity with Jenkins
  • Familiarity with Docker and/or Podman
  • Familiarity with Agile Scrum methodology
  • Familiarity with OpenCV
  • Active NATO Secret security clearance is considered an asset.
