We are looking for an experienced and motivated Senior Drupal Developer to join our team. The successful candidate’s primary focus will be to help build Drupal sites from start to finish within a team environment, working with project managers and other developers to deliver award-winning sites for our clients. The Senior Drupal Developer supports other team members and contributes their experience to projects and teams, documents important knowledge, and plays a crucial role in moving the team and company forward.

What You Will Do

  • Create, maintain, debug, and enhance Drupal-based web builds
  • Create custom components, modules, first and third-party API integrations
  • Write well designed and efficient code following software development best practices
  • Create website layout/user interface by using standard HTML/CSS practices
  • Integrate data from various back-end services and databases
  • Work closely with project team to analyze and understand user needs, to implement website content, graphics, performance, and capacity
  • Clearly communicate status updates related to issues, assignments, projects, and team progress on deliverables

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years experience in web development, using Drupal specifically
  • Post-secondary education in computer science, IT, or related technical field, or equivalent experience
  • Experience using LAMP-stack technologies
  • Familiar with modern PHP development practices and tools including PHP 7, composer, and packagist
  • Experience creating custom components/modules/plug-ins to integrate with CMS-based websites
  • Experience creating cross-browser compatible and standards compliant HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
  • Understanding of basic Linux/Unix commands
  • Strong fundamental knowledge of Git and related processes
  • Familiarity with Web infrastructure technologies like SSL and DNS
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a broad knowledge of web development techniques and principles
  • Knowledge of current web trends and standards
  • The ability to work across multiple projects without compromising quality
  • Eagerness to participate in team status meetings and brainstorming sessions
  • The ability to communicate project and task status and any issues to internal and external stakeholders
