Regional Head of Technology & Operations

Humankind Global Recruitment

The Regional Head of Technology and Operations provides senior regional leadership, coordination, and representation across all CIO functions within the region. Acting on behalf of the CIO leadership team, this role is the primary regional leadership presence for CIO colleagues, regardless of reporting line.

The role is focused on building a strong, connected, and high-performing regional CIO community; supporting workforce growth and development; strengthening cross-functional collaboration; and ensuring the region is operationally ready to support current and future business needs.

Responsibilities

  • Provide visible regional leadership and representation across all CIO functions.
  • Promote a strong One CIO culture, collaboration, engagement, and colleague experience.
  • Lead regional workforce planning, talent development, onboarding, succession, and growth initiatives in partnership with functional leaders.
  • Act as a senior escalation point for regional colleague, workplace, and people matters, working closely with HR, Office Administration, and relevant functional leaders.
  • Coordinate cross-functional regional activities, leadership forums, communications, and governance.
  • Support the establishment, integration, and growth of new CIO teams and capabilities within the region.
  • Represent regional opportunities, risks, and requirements within broader CIO leadership discussions.
  • Lead regional CIO coordination during business continuity events and significant workplace or operational incidents.
  • Provide leadership for regional site and workplace initiatives and maintain local operational readiness.
  • Contribute to regional growth, location strategy, organizational effectiveness, and workforce expansion.

Accountability

The role is accountable for regional colleague engagement and wellbeing, workforce planning and talent development, leadership visibility, cross-functional collaboration, onboarding and integration, operational readiness, crisis coordination, and regional site leadership.

The role influences but does not own technical strategy, architecture, functional governance, service ownership, technical delivery, functional prioritization, resource allocation, vendor management, budgets, or formal employment decisions outside direct reporting lines. These remain with the relevant CIO functional leaders.

What You'll Bring

  • Significant leadership experience in a complex technology or operational environment.
  • Proven ability to influence and align multiple functions and leadership teams within a matrix organization.
  • Strong stakeholder management, communication, facilitation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Experience in workforce planning, organizational growth, talent development, and change.
  • Strong organizational and coordination capabilities.
  • Experience working with HR, workplace, and office teams to resolve regional matters.
  • Understanding of business continuity, organizational resilience, and operational readiness.
  • A collaborative, people-focused leadership style with the ability to drive outcomes through influence, credibility, and partnership rather than direct authority.

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a growing team. The company offers a competitive compensation package, medical & health benefits and RRSP matching.
