Manager, Product

The Manager, Product is responsible for a business’s product planning and execution all through the lifecycle of the business

The Manager, Product position is inclusive of gathering and prioritizing requires for the product, defining the vision for the product, and collaborating with other leaders from the engineering, marketing, sales, and operations departments in order to ensure that the financial and consumer satisfaction goals are met.

In addition to this, the Manager, Product also ensure that the company’s overall strategy and goals are support by those of the product: that the products goals and strategy do not deviate from that of the business.

This position reports to the Exec. Vice President of Research and Development

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Lead and develop all Product Owner and Agile Coach team members
  • Working with both internal and external stakeholders, documents business requirements based on the business problem the user is trying to solve
  • Travel to and coordinate user feedback sessions with clients
  • Communicates functional requirements to Product Development and Product team members through formal functional specifications
  • Communicates regularly with Account Management and our customers to maintain a deep understanding of how the product is used
  • Maintain JFI overall product roadmap
  • Create and Collaborate on release content with sales, marketing and account management teams
  • Maintain and develop product KPIs that track success rate of releases, epics and features
  • Provides leadership, vision, and management to each of the functional departments
  • Conducts competitive analysis of other club management software products.
  • Coordinates or conducts training on new modules/features for internal and external customers
  • Maintains backlog of customer enhancement requests
  • Plans, schedules and facilitates story refinement, estimation and demonstration of stories
  • Collaborates with Release Manager to coordinate and separate software delivery from software release

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 5+ years’ experience working in the software development industry
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
  • Ability to analyze and work with 3rd party technical specifications
  • Experience working in an agile environment or with scrum teams
  • Ability to manage a distributed team
  • Ability to communicate technical or complex topics to non- technical audiences
  • Ability to communicate business concepts to technical audiences
  • Ability to generate creative ideas, make decisions in a timely manner and prioritize effectively
  • Candidates must possess strong analytical, excellent written communication, and problem-solving skills
  • Basic understanding of client server architecture and relational databases is an asset
  • Proficiency working in desktop applications (Word, Excel, Visio, Power Point, Project)
  • Ability to travel to Columbus, OH office quarterly, and Texas office annually. You will also need to travel to client sites on an as needed basis.
