We have an exciting opportunity for a full-time Product Manager to join our Information Technology department, to lead the team responsible for the full lifecycle of Finance Cloud Products and the delivery of approved projects.

This role offers a hybrid work arrangement with 2+ days per week in office, and can be based out of one our main offices including: Stellarton, NS; Montreal, QC; Mississauga, ON; or Calgary, AB.

Job Description

As a Product Manager with Sobeys you will:

  •  Lead a team that is responsible for the full life cycle of Finance Cloud Products and delivery of approved projects.
  •  Manage a team comprised of Tech Lead, Scrum Lead, Developers and Application System Analysts, overseeing workload, performance, career development, etc.
  •  Direct the development of products in a way that maximizes business value.
  •  Manage product backlog processes and product support.
  •  Set the strategy, roadmap, and feature definition for a product or product line.
  •  Responsible for working with business teams to set strategy and vision for Finance Cloud products.
  •  Articulate the business value to the product team so they understand the intent behind the new products and product releases.
  •  Own the product roadmap and prioritize building what matters most to achieve the strategic goals and initiatives behind the product.
  •  Define the release process and coordinating all of the activities required to bring the product to go live.
  •  Work closely with Tech Lead and Apps Developers on the technical specifications and ensure that teams have all the information required to deliver a complete product to market.

Job Requirements

Your experience and resume will show us:

  •  Bachelor’s degree in computer science, business administration, or a related discipline
  •  Minimum 8 years progressive experience in IT, Finance, or related role
  •  Strong leadership skills to motivate team members
  •  Demonstrated ability to efficiently make important decisions
  •  Demonstrated success defining and launching products
  •  Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  •  Proven ability to influence cross-functional teams
  •  Strong understanding of a product life cycle
  •  Adaptability to new technology
  •  Experience with Finance Cloud products, Sobeys Finance Cloud products, or Retail Industry experience would be an asset
  •  Experience in project implementations and/or maintenance and support would be an asset
  •  CPA accounting designation would be an asset
  •  Bilingualism (English and French) considered an asset
