The field of diversity and inclusion is one of the fastest growing today and provides the opportunity to work on on initiatives in development, recruitment, retention and strategy.

At ResMed, the BIDS team (Belonging, Inclusion, & Diversity for Success), is looking for a strategic D&I Business Partner to work closely in the Business to lead and drive inclusion-building programming. You will work cross functionally with different stakeholders to help drive programs while reporting directly to the Director of Diversity. This role will partner closely with People Business Partners in an effort to deliver growth, retention and diversity. The team is looking for someone who is impact and data driven, can simultaneously manage various projects and communications, and is resourceful with ideation and execution of projects.

Let’s talk about the responsibilities:

  • Enhance and lead the implementation of diversity and inclusion initiatives from inception to follow up, under the direction of the Director for the company
  • Identify, consult and deliver training programs, development toolkits, and resources
  • Work collaboratively across the business with identified stakeholders to help champion and amplify Department and Employee Resource Groups initiatives
  • Assist with communications and advertising through appropriate channels
  • Maintain processes, tracking and systems to account for metrics of success for initiatives, surveys, engagement, events, etc.
  • Identify vendors and partners for Learnings, mentorship and professional development and maintain the relationships
  • Design and edit presentations and pitches for programming.
  • Write and distribute agendas, proposals, and briefing documents for stakeholders with strategic recommendations
  • Monitor trends and research within BIDS development opportunities

Let’s talk about the qualifications and experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • At least 3+ years experience in a D&I role or supporting function
  • Strategic analytical skills with long term goals in mind
  • Organizational perspectives of inclusion work, and an appreciation of the complexities of inter/intra cultural interaction
  • Program management expertise with an ability to lead multiple initiatives and effectively prioritize to drive impact and results
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail
  • Self-motivated and tenacious
  • Critical eye focusing on customer obsession and inclusiveness
  • Persistence and thorough follow-up skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to present in large and small groups
  • Managing overall company communications around diversity topics
  • Building, maintaining and protecting the company’ reputation among key diverse segments;
  • Monitoring and assists projects with setting and meeting diversity and inclusion goals

Desirable:

  • Strong communication skills and able to work at all levels of an organization and with all regions
  • Experience leading a learning journey and meeting people where they are in their personal BIDS journey
  • Experience designing live/virtual D&I programs
  • Master’s Degree
  • Diversity, business development and community engagement experience.
