Digital Communication Platform Manager

Position Description:

The CGI Executive and Enterprise Communications (EEC) team is transforming its approach to increase and sustain employee engagement. We aim to improve user experience while supporting business development efforts, enhancing knowledge sharing and encouraging 2- and multi-way communication and collaboration.

The EEC team is part of CGI’s Digitization journey to support the adoption of new or improved internal platforms. This position will develop functional expertise in specific platforms, such as the CGI Intranet, and identify opportunities to evolve our platform offerings This role will also collaborate with the Director to support change management and stakeholder communications.

Your future duties and responsibilities:

    • Responsible for overall platform management including:
      • Developing and providing functional expertise for identified platforms
      • Identifying strategies to evolve the platforms that drive user experience, robust usage, effective communications, and knowledge sharing
      • Supporting platform users to provide a positive experience
    •  Collaborate with business and content owners to clearly specify functional enhancements and work with the technical team to deliver the changes.
    • Identify new ways the platforms can innovate to increase user satisfaction.
    • Participate in creation of strategies to promote adoption of platform enhancements and changes.
    • Collaborate on communication efforts supporting the design, delivery and management of internal platforms.
    • Coach communications content owners on best practices to ensure effective use and adhesion to platform governance.
    • Provide input and support the design and delivery of training programs for identified platforms.

Required qualifications to be successful in this role:

  • Education, Experience and Certification
    • Bachelor’s degree
    • More than 3 years’ experience working with digital communications platforms (examples include Microsoft 365 suite, Poppulo, Media Platform, SharePoint 2019) desired
    • Experience implementing digital tools in a corporate environment is beneficial
    • Experience with project management and the Agile methodology is beneficial
    • Experience in communication and marketing is beneficial
    • Experience working in a global organization is beneficial

  • Technically curious mindset: willing and eager to quickly learn in detail how a tool works to facilitate conversations with content managers, technical enhancement teams and end users.
  • Highly motivated, proactive, and comfortable working in an independent manner
  • Strategic thinker and problem solver focused on promoting a positive user experience
  • Excellent communication and consultative skills with internal stakeholders and platform users
  • Able to advance multiple simultaneous projects and manage shifts in priorities based on business needs
  • Proficient in the Microsoft Office suite, including PowerPoint, Word, Excel and Outlook.
  • Experience with SharePoint, MS Teams, and MS Yammer is beneficial.
  • Fluent in English, both oral and written, is required. Fluency in French is beneficial.
