Job Description

What is the opportunity?

Reporting to the Director, Reporting & Analytics Lead in US Risk IT (in Toronto), this role requires a team player who will partner with other IT groups and business teams in US CFO and US CDO with robust background in big data technologies, software development life cycle and vast experience as a full stack developer across enterprise application tools.

What will you do?

  • Design technical solutions aligned with business requirements and project deliverables including component reusability, data sharing and security.
  • Develop code, write unit tests and provide coordination and support for QE testing
  • Provide estimates on activities/tasks required to perform design, coding and unit testing
  • Co-ordinates and provides input to CCAR 14Q/A/M BA, QE and PM teams
  • Complete technical documentation and training material
  • Perform performance tuning
  • Support production release

What do you need to succeed?

Must-have

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience as system developer on big data projects
  • Possesses a working knowledge of SDLC, Agile delivery methodologies and Dev Ops
  • Strong working knowledge of querying data , Python, Hadoop, Hive, REST APIs, Containers and Kubernetes or Openshift
  • Deadline-driven, results-oriented and a good team player.

Nice-to-have

  • Preference will be given to candidates with prior experience in CCAR/DFAST, Regulatory reporting, Financial industry analytics and capital calculation
  • Knowledge of Cloud ecosystem and capital calculation.
  • Ability to understand data base models and data mapping
  • Ability to support Gap Analysis, Reconciliation, Data Governance and CCAR IT model automation
