Your opportunity

Our technology team, BDO Lixar, brings 20+ years of experience providing end-to-end technology and modern workplace solutions in data & AI, cloud & cyber, and business & customer-facing applications. Our team of 500 technology professionals is expanding our data-driven services from coast-to-coast and beyond, to help our clients adapt, adopt, and grow.

BDO Lixar is looking for a Senior Azure Engineer/Kubernetes Specialist to join the Lixar team and own the following responsibilities:

  • Help to automate provisioning and configure Azure cloud services for our clients’ application teams
  • Present our cloud offerings and services to application teams throughout our client’s organization to best fit their need
  • Help execute customer needs, participate in their ceremonies such as sprints, retrospectives etc. and deliver against the application teams needs around public cloud products and services
  • Work with our team of developers to help implement technologies that promote (and sometimes enforce) best development practices
  • Act as an evangelist with development communities to help them understand the value of containerized infrastructures and immutable infrastructure

Your experience and education

Mandatory Experience:

  • A passion to enable customers to onboard and use bleeding edge cloud platforms and services
  • 5+ years of experience in Azure cloud engineering/architecture/DevOps
  • Strong Experience with Azure AKS. Strong knowledge of ingress controllers, secret management and persistent storage.
  • Strong command over Kubernetes package managers (HELM etc.) and infrastructure automation tools (Terraform etc.).
  • Strong knowledge of DevOps principles, Azure Devops expertise, Git repositories.
  • Overall knowledge of various Azure cloud services: AKV, ACR, Storage, Networking, NSGs, Security etc.
  • Communication skills necessary to work on a geographically distributed team and to deliver clear messages to our application teams
  • Able to work in an autonomous environment

Nice to Haves:

  • Experience implementing HDInsight
  • Experience with ARGO CD
  • Experience with integration using Splunk, Dynatrace
  • Foundational experience with Confluence and Jira
  • Experience working in similar capacity within large financial institutions
