LevelSec | AI & IT Security Systems

Virtual Course

Ends Oct 5, 2026, 3:00 AM

As organizations increasingly adopt AI-enabled technologies, the need to secure information systems has never been greater. Over 8 weeks, this advanced course equips professionals with the practical knowledge and skills to identify, assess, and strengthen security controls across modern information systems and AI environments using internationally recognized standards.

Through real-world case studies and applied exercises, participants will explore how to implement and evaluate ISO/IEC 27001:2022 and ISO/IEC 42001:2023, identify system vulnerabilities, manage AI-related risks, and develop actionable security improvement roadmaps. Rather than focusing on coding or AI development, the course emphasizes governance, oversight, and operational security for professionals responsible for protecting organizational systems.

Designed for working professionals, this eight-week course combines weekly live instruction with flexible, self-paced learning, allowing participants to immediately apply concepts within their own organizations. Participants will also have opportunities to expand their professional network through optional industry panels, networking sessions, and career development programming offered as part of the LevelSec experience.

Ideal for:

  • Cybersecurity and IT professionals
  • Professionals supporting AI systems or data platforms
  • Risk and compliance practitioners
  • Public sector and regulated industry staff
  • Professionals responsible for overseeing secure information systems

Course Details:

  • Mondays from 12 - 2 PM EST

Developed in partnership with the University of Waterloo, LevelSec provides advanced, industry-aligned training for professionals ready to lead. Participants gain practical, career-focused knowledge designed to address today's evolving cybersecurity landscape while building the strategic skills needed to protect modern organizations.
