SUMMARY:A Post Breach Analysis: Okta Support Unit
DESCRIPTION:About the session\n\nWith increasing numbers of high-profile identity security attacks hitting the headlines\, it is crucial to consider how to safeguard your organization. In today’s attacks\, identities\, especially those with significant privileges\, play a central role as attackers focus on exploiting identities and using social engineering instead of relying on exploits and malware. \nJoin BeyondTrust’s Chief Technology Officer\, Marc Maiffret and Director of Research\, James Maude as they break down some of the common Tactics\, Techniques\, and Procedures (TTPs) that have been observed in recent Identity and Identity Infrastructure attacks including those that led to the discovery by BeyondTrust that Okta’s Support Unit had been breached. \nIn this session learn about: \n\nThe growing importance of identity security in today’s landscape\nResearch findings on Mercury and Scattered Spider\nHow BeyondTrust’s proactive approach helped uncover the Okta Support Breach\nOkta post breach analysis – privileges and personal accounts\nBest practices for securing identity infrastructure\, including FIDO2 and access policies\n\nSuccessfully navigating the challenges of identity security not only calls for tools that can provide visibility\, control over identities and privileges\, risk reduction\, and threat detection\, but also requires a shift within the organization to connect the realms of identity\, access\, and security. While Super Admins in Okta may be making headlines now\, they are just one piece of a larger ecosystem that we must safeguard. \nDon’t miss out on this opportunity to enhance your understanding of identity security and learn valuable strategies to protect your organization. \nMeet the Speakers\nMarc Maiffret \nChief Technology Officer \n\nMarc Maiffret is a well-known entrepreneur and executive with over 20 years of experience in security leadership at organizations such as eEye Digital Security\, FireEye\, SpaceX\, and BeyondTrust. SUMMARY:AI Readiness Workshop
DESCRIPTION:Join DeepSense on January 17th at 12:30 pm AT for the Ocean AI Workshop with Canada’s Ocean Supercluster. The Supercluster recently launched an AI Ocean 2024 call for proposals to invest in the development of commercial AI projects. Artificial intelligence (AI) has significant potential for profound impacts on the future\, health\, and prosperity of the world’s ocean. Every global opportunity in the blue economy will be influenced by the increasing use of AI in operational decision-making. AI adoption will be a key enabler of growth to the future ocean economy. \nThis one-hour workshop is designed to provide potential project partners with support to address gaps ocean companies may have in developing AI solutions. During the session companies will have the opportunity to meet with the DeepSense team to explore possible support for their AI endeavors. Breakout rooms will be provided for participants to self-select into any of the following groups and get the support they need: \nBreakout Room 1: AI Expertise for Existing Solutions \nCompany has an existing solution in mind but has specific challenges (lack of technical experience) in implementing the AI in their current infrastructure. \nBreakout Room 2: Understanding Data and Options \nCompany has their own data and are looking to maximize it and want to explore AI options and identifying the best fit. \nBreakout Room 3: Exploring AI Applications \nCompanies have no specific AI applications in mind and want to explore AI applications and lay the foundation for a future AI project. \nBreakout Room 4: Cloud Setup and Infrastructure \nCompany knows their AI solution but needs support building a cloud setup.
