Human-Led or AI-Led? The Future of the SOC
Security Operations Centers have always run on people. Analysts work the alerts, pull in context, make judgement calls and lead the response when something goes wrong. That model has served us well, but it’s hard to scale and it leans heavily on a small number of experienced people.
Agentic AI is starting to change how SOCs operate. AI agents can now help investigate, correlate data across sources, recommend next steps and, with the right controls in place, carry out parts of the response. The speed gains are real. So are the questions about trust, oversight and who is accountable when an agent gets it wrong.
