As AI, immersive technologies, and evolving workforce dynamics continue to reshape the global games industry, emerging ecosystems like Nova Scotia have new opportunities to grow globally competitive studios, attract talent, and foster innovation across gaming and interactive media. This Executive Lounge will create a space for meaningful dialogue, strategic networking, and industry insight sharing between local leaders and internationally recognized voices from the games and technology sectors. Amir Satvat | Business Development Director @ Tencent Games

Amir works in games, but what he cares most about is helping people who love video games find work, leading ASGC, the largest career support initiative in games, with 2,500+ volunteer coaches and 4,700+ gamers supported. Alongside this work, Amir is a Business Development Director at Tencent Games in North America. He brings 20 years of experience across Amazon, Veeam, VMware, Dell EMC, and Goldman Sachs. At Amazon, he led business development and strategy for Prime Gaming and served as a Principal Producer for Amazon Games.

Matt Toner | Managing Partner @ Shred Capital

Matt Toner is a seasoned innovation strategist, venture investor, and creative economy leader with over two decades of experience building content-driven industries across major tech hubs from New York to Toronto to Silicon Valley, currently serving as Executive Director at Scaffold Institute where he is working to double the size of Alberta’s game industry. As a serial exited entrepreneur and early-stage investor, Matt has worked on AAA game franchises and bleeding-edge indies, earning recognition and awards from TIME magazine and Fast Company for his innovative contributions to the creative technology sector.
