SUMMARY:Bringing Tech Talent to Nova Scotia: What’s Your Tech Immigration Strategy?
DESCRIPTION:Multiple immigration pathways have been created by Canada’s immigration system to support tech companies across the country. It can be confusing to choose from a variety of pathways when bringing foreign tech talent to work for your team in Canada. This webinar will walk you through some of the most popular and fastest ways to bring the best foreign talent to Canada. A Q&A session will focus on your questions related to this subject. \nAfter this webinar you will understand: \n\nEach immigration program has its own target applicants. It’s important to get it right when submitting your foreign workers application as Immigration Canada will not think this out for you. Time is of the essence and thus a thorough planning and a tech immigration strategy is needed.\nNot all foreign workers are the same. Each applicant’s particular background\, skills and objectives can pivot you to a certain immigration pathway.\nMulti-step immigration may be needed to help your foreign workers come to Canada and retain those workers in your company.

SUMMARY:Exploring multigenerational workforces in 2022 & beyond (Host: MB)
DESCRIPTION:Today’s workforce is more complex than ever before as aging populations and an economic crisis have resulted in a labour market where five generations coexist. This multigenerational workforce gives rise to unique challenges for organizations in understanding and addressing disparities in values\, needs\, and expectations\, and in creating advancement opportunities for young professionals while recognizing and including older workers. \nResearch conducted by the World Economic Forum\, AARP and OECD found that 83% of global executives agree that multigenerational workforces are key to business growth and success\, and 80% of organizations employ a multigenerational workforce. However\, 53% do not include age in their diversity and inclusion policy and 58% do not provide training or support related to managing a multigenerational workforce. Furthermore\, Deloitte’s 2021 Global Human Capital Trends reported that only 6% of survey respondents strongly agree that their leaders are equipped to effectively lead a multigenerational workforce. \nThe challenges of a multigenerational workforce\, exacerbated by the changes COVID-19 forced on or brought about in the world of work as organizations transformed operational models\, make it difficult for many organizations\, employees\, and job seekers to navigate and succeed in this new complex workforce demographic. \nJoin leaders as they share their personal and organizational initiatives\, experiences and learnings in exploring multigenerational workforces in 2022 & beyond: \n\nSiju Ewhubare\, President & CEO\, Crown Mentorship Foundation\nRhonda Taylor\, CEO\, Career Trek\nTanya Lush\, Director of Workforce Development\, Centre for Ocean Ventures & Entrepreneurship (COVE)\n\nIntroduced by Florence Rousseau\, Director\, Marketing & Communications\, Magnet and moderated by Chantal Brine\, CEO\, EnPoint\, we invite you to the next instalment of the Building Future Ready Communities: Virtual Tour series on May 10th\, 1-2 PM EDT / 2-3 PM ADT for community building and an inspirational panel discussion and Q&A!
