Never opened Canva or just been playing around? This class is for you. Amy has been a graphic designer for almost 20 years and wants to empower you to take control of your brand using Canva. This class will cover Branding Basics for Entrepreneurs, as well as a hands-on Canva activity. She’ll explain where to find tools to manipulate text, images and elements as well as cover 3 main graphic design principles: readability, hierarchy and consistency. Unix Shell, Version Control and R Programming Workshop Begins

Using software-carpentry.org materials this workshop introduces you to the fundamentals of the Unix Shell, Version Control with Git and R. This is a beginner level workshop series that is hands-on, covering the fundamentals of R, including data types, conditional statements, loops and functions, as well as program design, version control, data management, and task automation. Participants will be encouraged to help one another and to apply what they have learned to their own research problems. The goal is to teach the practical knowledge needed to start programming, debugging and using R in everyday tasks. You do not need to have any previous knowledge of the tools that will be presented at the workshop. You do need to have a laptop with a Mac, Linux or Windows operating system (not a tablet, Chromebook, etc) on which you have administrative privileges, as you will need to pre-load specific software packages.
