You'll do five-minute speed interviews with dozens of vetted senior developers with diverse backgrounds and technical skills. All candidates have at least 7 years of work experience and have been screened by our team. What To Expect You get to interview many candidates and shortlist a selection for more detailed interviews later. Company Pitch - This is an optional one minute pitch about your company to all the candidates. Live Networking - Talk face-to-face with dozens of senior developers for five minutes each. Tech Wednesdays with NPower Canada

More than 80% of NPower Canada alumni secure employment or enroll in higher education within 6 months of graduating, with 30-40% already placed into jobs upon completing training. Graduates launch digital careers in roles such as Help Desk Agent, Data Analyst, QA / Tester and Business Systems Analyst with companies like TELUS, Accenture and CIBC. NPower Canada is a registered charity launching underserved young adults ages 17-30 into meaningful digital careers. NPower Canada's virtually delivered programs provide youth with 15 weeks of no-cost, part-time tech skills training, including industry certifications, complemented by employability skills coaching and wraparound supports (including bus pass, interview clothing and laptops/WiFi based on financial need). Program participants are also connected directly with employers, job retention supports and five years of alumni services including continued education and mentorship. Youth do not need any prior background in tech to apply. They must have completed their high school, Dogwood or GED, and be eligible to work in Canada. NPower Canada prioritizes serving lower-income, un/underemployed youth who are female-identified, IBPOC, 2SLGBTQ+, newcomers and youth with disabilities. Join us for a conversation with our special guests: Canadian Space Agency’s Tony Pellerin, Manager, Mechanical Engineering and Technical lead for the Canadian Cubesat Project and Dalhousie alum, Arad Gharagozli (MASc‘22), who launched GALAXIA, a space hardware and software company. The conversation will discuss satellites and nano satellites, the science and research behind them, and the societal impacts of the space race of the 21st century.
