NS GovLab and Aging 2.0, Halifax Chapter are pleased to present:

ASK for help, OFFER your skills or time, and help strengthen the community.

What is ASK & OFFER:

ASK & OFFER is a structured networking event to help match organizations supporting our aging population with people who can offer with skills, information and/or resources to help.

Who should attend:

Entrepreneurs, innovators, scholars, public servants, care providers, individuals, businesses, nonprofits, and others in Nova Scotia.

How it works:

1. Everyone (who wants to) gets 3 minutes to ASK for or OFFER help.

For example, you might want to ASK for advice on setting up a crowdfunding campaign or a recommendation for a reasonably priced lawyer. You might be able to OFFER your time as a volunteer or your expertise as a social marketing consultant.

You will present:

  • Your name
  • What you are working on
  • What you need or what you can offer

2. Write your ASK or OFFER on a sticky note and put it on the wall.

3. As we network, people who ASKED and people who OFFERED can seek each other out to further explore opportunities to work together.

Come to this event ready to GIVE as much as you GET.
