Applying Data Science in Healthcare

While there is considerable interest in developing data science models in healthcare, its application into clinical practice and healthcare decision-making can be challenging. In this talk, Dr. Mamdani will use examples of applied date science initiatives to highlight how data scientists can work more closely with end-users such as clinicians and healthcare decision-makers in improving the utility of their work to ultimately improve patient outcomes and healthcare system efficiency. Dr. Mamdani will also discuss the fundamental principles and techniques for processing and analysis of big data in healthcare settings, and how healthcare participants can apply this new knowledge in the context of their own work. This webinar will be presented in English. A recording will be available with English and French subtitles. Register
